Who we are. Tanya Jepun (tanyajepun.com) is a Malaysia-facing media site about travelling in Japan, run by an individual based in Kuala Lumpur. Contact: hello@tanyajepun.com.

What this website collects

• No accounts, no tracking pixels. The site is static. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell personal data.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser type, time) for security and performance for a limited period.
• Email list. If you sign up for our free guides, your email address is stored with our email provider (Kit) so we can send the guide and occasional updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also write to hello@tanyajepun.com to be removed.
• Affiliate links. Some links go to booking partners (for example Trip.com, Klook, Agoda). If you buy through them we may earn a commission; your price does not change. Those partners set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

Our publishing tools ("Tanya Jepun Publisher")

We use official APIs from YouTube (Google), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Kit to schedule and publish our own videos, posts and emails, and to read the performance statistics of our own accounts. These tools:

• act only on accounts owned by Tanya Jepun;
• do not collect, store or process personal data of other users, followers or viewers;
• do not read private messages or contact lists;
• store access tokens only on our own equipment, never in public repositories.

Data deletion

If you have shared personal data with us (for example by subscribing to our emails or writing to us), you can request deletion at any time: email hello@tanyajepun.com with the subject "Delete my data". We will delete it within 14 days and confirm by email. This also applies to any data that could have been received through the Meta or TikTok platforms.

We may update this page. The date at the top shows the last update.
